Precautions for the use of planters boxes

1. Clean the planting boxes
Clean the used planting boxes with water, soft soap and a stiff brush. The lime layer can be removed with warm vinegar water. Planting boxes made of unglazed terra cotta should preferably be fully immersed in water for 1-2 days to prevent loose container walls from absorbing moisture from the culture.

2. Ensure good drainage

Some planting boxes require careful opening of pre-pressed drainage holes in the bottom. The purpose of the drainage material is to prevent these small holes from being blocked and thus prevent water from accumulating in the planting boxes. Therefore, items such as clay shards can be placed over the drainage holes; a light material such as clay terracotta can also be placed on the bottom of the entire planting boxes, which has a good drainage effect; an irrigation mat can also be placed on the bottom of the planting boxes or non-woven instead. The non-woven fabric absorbs water and rainwater from watering and can be slowly released to the root system, thus reducing the number of waterings. Once you have these ready, you can start your flower planting journey.
